Who is South Carolina Rottweiler Rescue?

South Carolina Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2002 to address the need for a Rottweiler specific rescue based in the Midlands of South Carolina.

We accept into our program Rottweilers from area animal shelters and other rescue groups.

Most shelters in South Carolina have a policy of not offering Rottweilers for adoption to the general public. Any Rottweiler, regardless of age, health or temperament that is taken to a shelter or picked up stray in South Carolina is killed unless it can be transferred to a rescue group like ours.

Our space is always limited, but the demand for rescue never is. If you can foster a rescued Rottie, please cantact us. We are always in need of foster homes.

SCRR covers all the medical expenses of our fosters, including flea and heart worm prevent. We also provide food, when we have it available.

Please browse our site and let us know what you think.

This is our girl Biata.
Biata is the reason we started this rescue. She came to us from North Carolina and won our hearts.
She went over the Rainbow Bridge in April of 2003 due to bone cancer.
We miss her more than words can express. Each dog we save is saved in her honor so that other people will know the loving, gentle nature of this fantastic breed.
